Parenting is one of the most important—and sometimes most challenging—roles we have. No matter the age of your kids, every parent can benefit from encouragement, wisdom, and practical tools.
Join us for Strategies for Positive Parenting, a free workshop hosted at Rooftop Church and led by the experienced team at Christian Family Services, a trusted nonprofit organization with decades of experience helping families thrive. Their staff brings deep expertise in child development, family dynamics, and healthy parenting practices, and they will guide us through an evening designed to equip and encourage parents.
This workshop is open to moms, dads, and caregivers of children of any age. Childcare is available for families who register in advance only. Dinner will be provided, and the entire event is completely free.
During the evening, the Christian Family Services team will share research-based parenting strategies drawn from several respected approaches, including:
- * Adlerian philosophy, which helped shape well-known approaches like Love and Logic and Natural Consequences
- * Parent Effectiveness Training (PET) by Dr. Thomas Gordon
- * Collaborative problem solving principles from Dr. Ross Greene and Lives in the Balance
- * Timeless wisdom from Scripture, including the teachings and parables of Jesus
The evening will include engaging teaching, group discussion, and opportunities for couples or caregivers to talk through real-life parenting situations together. The goal isn’t just learning ideas—it’s gaining practical tools you can use at home right away.
