FOSTERING FAITHFUL FAMILIES

LOOKING AFTER ORPHANS

God calls us to care for children with no home. The disciple James called it "pure religion." Here at Rooftop Church we take that call seriously. Fostering and adoption is a priority among many Rooftop families. We also host a chapter of the regional organization, Fostering Faithful Families. The ministry seeks to raise awareness and advocate for fostering and adoption.

Our team meets monthly to network, brainstorm ideas and plan opportunities for Rooftoppers to get involved. Join us at 9:30 am (during second service) on the fourth Sunday each month. We meet in The Theater downstairs at church. Got questions? Email Gerilyn Ahrens at fff@rooftop.org.

Fostering Faithful families also supports those that are already involved in orphan care - walking in solidarity with one another and offering resources and practical support when needed. For more information about fostering/adoption, visit the Fostering Faithful Families website.

THREE WAYS TO SUPPORT ORPHANS

  1. Attend the Fostering Faithful Families Meet Up during third service on the fourth Sunday each month, in the study downstairs.
  2.  Give families a break. Volunteer for respite care of fostered children. Email fff@rooftop.org to find out how.
  3. Sign up for the Care Portal and receive notification when struggling families need donations that could help keep their kids out of foster care.
