Events Committee
PURPOSE:
To create opportunities for church members to build a unified community with each other and with others that are not yet part of a church community through social interaction at a variety of events.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
EXPLANATION:
Events should serve as the breaks from the business of life; they should be times when we can just enjoy family, friends, and fun experiences, all in a relaxed and God-honoring setting. The events committee works to organize these opportunities for the people of Rooftop and their friends and family.
The committee plans six Ground Floor Events throughout the year that are designed to be accessible and enjoyable to the entire family and invited guests. (Ground Floor Events are called such because they are events that we want everyone to "get in on"). The events change from year to year based on the feedback and interests of the church and events committee.
The members of the committee also plan smaller, more specialized activities that often reflect their own particular interests.
IF YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED:
- Come to events! Have fun, and do your best to help others have fun and feel welcome, especially if they're new to Rooftop. To find out more about events, check out the website, look in your programs, or contact Gloria.
- Consider joining the events committee. Contact Gloria for details, but we are almost always in need of more committed, motivated people on our team.
