Coming to Grips with Some of Jesus' Toughest and Most Confusing Teachings
Contrary to popular opinion, Jesus wasn’t always easy to understand, and even harder to obey. Some of his teachings are downright scandalous, like the one about having to hate your father and mother, and cutting off body parts when they cause you to sin. Some just seem plain wrong, like promising that we'll get whatever we pray for. And some seem strange, like when he says that not even he knows when the world will end, or when he calls himself the bread of life, and so on and so forth.
People who want to follow Christ should at least know what they’re getting themselves into, and what their leader is asking them to do. So if you’re interested in learning more about some of Jesus’ toughest, most confusing teachings, join us at Rooftop for an 12-week series, as we learn together what exactly Jesus was “talkin’ ‘bout.”
