Behold the face of God on the pages of Scripture
Millions of people around the world are flocking to a popular social-networking website that we’re sure you’ve heard about. Why is this website so popular? Because we are social creatures who love connecting with friends, old and new.
As we surf the pages of Scripture, something similar happens. We come face to face with God—our friend, old and new—in vivid and powerful ways. In fact, “God’s face” is a very common image in Scripture that introduces all sorts of lessons that are important to learn as we get to know God better. Themes like Intimacy (“speaking face to face with God”), Despair (“how long will you hide your face from us?”) and Humility (“facedown before the Lord”). Spend the next couple months with us at Rooftop Community as we social network with the face of God on the pages of Scripture, getting to know him like we never thought we could.
