How God can save you from financial ruin
Bailouts. Foreclosures. Upside-down mortgages. Unemployment. Aside from being economic indicators, these also indicate a lot of financial pain in the lives of Americans.
They also indicate a lot of financial ignorance, too. Many of us aren't very good at handling money. We've never learned how to be stewards of our resources. Our financial ignorance has not only made our lives worse, but it's limited our ability to help others.
The Bible has a lot to say about money. In fact, wealth is one of Jesus' favorite two topics to preach about. Probably this is because Jesus understood the dangers of money. He knew it could mess up our lives pretty good if we didn't regard it correctly and handle it well. But he also knew that when properly understood and mastered (as opposed to being our master), money is a tool given by God to help us live and love well. Maybe you need a Bailout. Maybe you're in, or nearing, financial ruin. Maybe you're not, but you know that you could be someday. Maybe you've got a friend who is. Either way, spend six weeks with us at Rooftop learning what Jesus has to say about money. Before you go under, give God a chance to bail you out.
