Every now and then God sends someone into the world to speak truth to an ignorant and misguided people. We call these people prophets, and we don't like hearing what they have to say, even though we know we should probably listen. A long time ago, Jeremiah was that prophet. He spoke a message of judgment and hope to a group of people that had forgotten about God a long time before. Jeremiah's words still speak to us today. From the pages of the Old Testament he still has much to say about our lives, where we're going, and where we've been. He offers conviction and encouragement for a people badly in need of a kick in the pants and/or a pat on the back. Starting Sunday, January 7th, spend 12 weeks with us at Rooftop Community learning about one of the Bible's most famous prophets. Learn about his life and listen to his words as God speaks through Jeremiah as he's done for countless centuries, offering people conviction and hope for their troubled lives. Because sometimes the most important things to hear are the things you don't want to.
