Small Groups

What are they?
Groups of people who meet together weekly to build community through the discussion of particular topics relevant to Christianity.

How long do they meet for?
Indefinite. These groups will be organic in nature, growing and splitting as God leads. However, you can expect the group to assess its effectiveness on a regular basis and to determine its life-span based on these assessments.

Is there a leader?
Yes, but they will serve more as a facilitator than a teacher.

What do they discuss?
Generally, these groups will discuss the previous Sunday’s message, focusing particularly on personal application and growth. However, you can expect some flexibility in precisely what is discussed, depending on the needs of the group. They will also focus on the discerning and development of each person’s God given gifts and purpose.

Rooftop Value Emphasized:
Community, though others will be practiced to varying degrees.

This might be the type of group for you if you:

  • Are eager to build deeper community with a smaller number of Rooftoppers
  • Enjoy personal group discussion of spiritual topics.
  • Are confused about the purpose that God has for your life
