Different people mean different things when they talk about "doing church". If you'd like to get an idea of what we mean when we talk about doing church at Rooftop, check out an upcoming "Floor Meeting". Floor Meetings are staff-led, teaching & discussion meetings designed to provide a better view of doing church. There are 3 different Floor Meetings:
2nd Floor Meeting: CONNECT. What does it look like to connect spiritually and relationally with other believers? How can we do this at Rooftop? Come to this meeting to find out.
3rd Floor Meeting: CONTRIBUTE. What does it look like to contribute to the advancement of God's kingdom with your gifts and abilities? How can we do this at Rooftop? Come to this meeting to find out.
4th Floor Meeting: COMMIT. What does it look like to commit to a church as your home church? How can we do this at Rooftop? Come to this meeting to find out.
Floor Meetings are completely optional, and NOT part of a membership program (Rooftop doesn't even have a membership program). They are scheduled regularly at the church building. And they build on one another, but can be attended in any order.
So whether you're new to Rooftop or have been a part of the church for while and just want to get a better view of doing church, Floor Meetings will offer biblical insight and practical strategies for doing church the way God intended.
If you're interested in coming to a Floor Meeting, or just have questions, contact Pastor Jeremy Zilkie (jeremy@rooftop.org; 314-842-2000).
Finally, if you're not interested in a Floor Meeting, but would still like to learn more about Rooftop, consider our monthly introduction-to-Rooftop gathering that we have creatively called "Newcomers' Gathering". We schedule it during 2nd service on Sunday morning, so childcare is available through Rooftots. We'll sit around, eat treats, and learn about Rooftop. It's fun and relaxed. If you're interested, fill out an info card, or just show up-no RSVP is required.
