State of the Roof (GFE)

Join us at the church building on Friday night, March 26^th, from 7-8 PM for our semi-annual State of the Roof meeting. (Please RSVP to Erin Schrage if you have kids you'd like to put in child care during the meeting: erianne523@hotmail.com). At these SOTR meetings we discuss important church business, such as budget and leadership selection, while also discussing the future and vision of the church. If you'd like to vote at this upcoming State of the Roof meeting, please apply for the Voting Roster at the Info Table. Applications are due by March 12^th.

Trivia Night (GFE)

Our annual Trivia Night will be Friday April 16 at the Affton Elk's Lodge. Doors open at 6:15 and questions start promptly at 7:00 PM. Cost is $10/person and tables seat 8. So gather your team of 8 or register and be placed at a table. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and other games, so be sure to bring money for that as well. There is a cash prize for the winning team. All proceeds will go to the Affton Christian Food Pantry and the Mexico Mission Trip 2010. The Boiler Room (GFE)

The Boiler Room is a night of worship and prayer on a much greater level than the typical Sunday morning format might allow. Our next Boiler Room is Saturday, May 8, from 7:00-9:00 PM. Those who have come in the past would definitely encourage you to make plans now to attend. And plan to join us afterwards at Fortel’s Pizza Den right down the road for additional fellowship. Always the perfect nightcap to an excellent evening of meeting with God.

Rooftop Coffeehouse (GFE)

Christmas Eve Service

Join us for our special Christmas Eve service, Dec. 24 from 5:30-6:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to share in the real meaning of the holiday. There will be no Rooftots classes, but kids are welcome and encouraged to be a part of the worship and devotions.

"Be the Church" Day

Don't just go to church.....

Mark your calendars for Rooftop's "Be the Church" Day Saturday, Oct. 17.

This day-long event will give you and your family a chance to serve people in the Affton community and beyond. Teams of Rooftopers will build houses, stock a pantry, clean up roadsides, visit with the elderly or repair the church building. Families can also enroll in "Service School," where both parents and kids 3 and up can learn about the value of service. Child care will be provided for kids under 3.

The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast and rally at the church at 8 a.m. See the Connections Wall in the next few weeks for a complete schedule and to sign up for a project.

Summerfest

Mark your calendars for the Rooftop's Summerfest 2010 on Sunday, July 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Deer Creek Park (off Laclede Station Road in Maplewood-AKA Rocketship Park). The fun will include a BBQ dinner, carnival games, snow cones, a tattoo artist, Diaper Derby race, kickball, giant inflatables, a cake walk and more. The event is free. Bring friends and neighbors. Amazing Race

Mark your calendars for Rooftop's Amazing Race, Saturday, September 27, 4:00 - 7:00 PM. This is not a scavenger hunt, but, much like the show, will include teams "racing" through a variety of tasks and challenges around South County. We will begin and end at the church, with food, drinks, and video highlights of the festivities afterwards! Sign-ups begin this Sunday-look for the clipboard near the Connections Wall. You may sign up as a team of four, or sign up individually and we can configure your team. Childcare provided. Swing-A-Round Fun Town (GFE)

Looking for some family fun over Memorial Day Weekend? Rooftop's next Ground Floor Event will be held at Swing-A-Round Fun Town (335 Skinker Ln, Fenton, MO 63026). On May 24th, the Events Committee will be hosting a day to play from 4-6pm. Come for mini golf, bumper boat, go karts, and batting cages. There is also an indoor arcade and snack bar. Lots of fun for all ages and only $5 for 2 full hours of fun, so bring your friends and family along!

New City Workday (GFE)

Do you have a desire to share yourself with the St. Louis community? Come out on Mar. 8^th to assist the various ministries of Restore St. Louis. The work day starts at 8:00 AM on the campuses of New City Fellowship. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM, potluck style. Lunch is provided. Super Bowl XLII Party (GFE)

Come and hang out with fellow Rooftoppers and invite your friends to the building on Sunday, February 3, 2008. Enjoy food, folks & fun and watch on the big screen as your favorite NFL gladiators go head-to-head. Doors open @ 4:45 PM. Kickoff @ 5:18 PM. Movies for ages 3-5 and video-gaming for ages 6 & up available. No childcare will be provided.

New Year's Bowling Bash (GFE)

Our annual New Year's Eve event will once again be held at Shrewsbury Lanes. From 7:30-12:30, we will be bowling and enjoying a great evening as we ring in the new year. The event is FREE (all the bowling and shoes are covered)!!! We will be accepting donations at the door to assist in covering the cost of the event. You can look forward to...

The strike off challenge will be held, as well as other interesting bowling challenges
Light snacks plus the facility concession and bar will be open
Games, cards, etc. set up in the bar area
The popular. "Gift Swap" will be back. This is an opportunity for you to "re-gift" that not so wanted present you received for Christmas. So, rewrap your pot holders, chia pets, and drug store quality bath products and add them to the table. Within this mix will also be some very cool gifts including gift certificates for useful things like food, car washes, etc. Every hour we will draw for the lucky winners to take their chance at selecting a gift.

We will not have child care at this event, but there is a separate room where we will have a TV/DVD playing movies in case someone needs a little "down time".

So, there will be something for everyone. If you are new to Rooftop, just checking us out, or have been here for years, we highly encourage you to attend this event, invite your friends and be a part of the Rooftop Community.
